My Bedroom has changed once more- I swear this will be the last time!

This is what I call the evolution of a masterpiece... I know it took me a few tries to get it right... BUT I think I have finally done it. My room is now at a place where I can be in it and feel calm and relaxed. Here is what I was up to this weekend:

This is how my bedroom started...

 And then...

That blue was SOOO intense, I absolutely hated it.
And now...

Much better, right? I think so. The color is called "Raindrop" By Sherwin Williams. It has a subtle gray undertone that makes is perfect for me.

My Spray Painted Treasures {2}

Here are some neat little things I found at the local thrift store for around a buck each, all they needed was a little love and spray paint and they would be good as new!

I saw lots of potential in these cute chunky frames.
I have been wanting to get some pretty plates and spray paint them and put some vinyl lettering on them, these would be perfect!

You can never have enough of these! I figured it would probably sit on my kitchen table and hold various decorations for each season.
Here are my weapons of choice.

The plates all spray painted and in their final resting places.

The frames- I will post more of these when I get some pictures in them and do some finishing touches.

I gave my little tray a good sanding and viola! It is perfectly imperfect. I love how everything turned out. And the total cost for all of these projects was under $7.

My husband is the best!

He's done it again, my sweet husband brought me home another great find! He was working on a really old house with his dad and came across a few things that he knew I would die to have.
I will show you the other things on another day when I can think of what to do with them.

I am thinking about painting it... Tell me do you think I should try to preserve the writing that is already on it? I think I will have a hard time painting over it.

From what I could find, this is a produce crate from a company founded in 1954. Although I am sure the crate is quite old- I don't think it is an antique. Maybe I should just paint over it and paint something else on it like "Antiques"? Help!

Working on the Gallery Wall

I have been searching around looking for idea's and tips on how to hang a gallery wall. I painted down the hallway and the stairs yesterday so all that is on the To-Do list is to hang all of my pictures
I found a few pictures for inspiration

I am in love with the color of these frames! The white with the pops of turquoise and blue, so cute!

This is what I am working with

Wish me luck I am going to be hanging all of my pictures tonight!

My Cake Supplies Cabinet

Well, it's finished. The hubs and I put two shelves into my kitchen pantry cabinet and I moved all of my cake decorating supplies into it. I. AM. IN. LOVE!
There is just something about organizing spaces that makes me happy! I know, I'm slightly insane.
Here is what it looks like all finished:

Kitchen Pantry Cabinet

Well, the furniture in our house has changed once more.
Since my cake business has been growing the space in my kitchen pantry has been shrinking.
So I decided to do some looking on KSL for a cabinet that I could use for secondary storage
(that was a reasonable price of course)
Cabinets online ranged anywhere from $331-$599... A little out of this girls price range :)
I was imagining something along the lines of this:
So the search was on.

After searching for a couple of days I came across a few that would do the job. I stumbled upon this one, I loved the detail of it (the floral design is hand carved, score!)
Of course I would be painting it so the color didn't matter much to me.
I picked up this little pretty for $80 bucks.
Here is what she looked like before I refinished her:

It was meant to be an entertainment center but that would change of course

The floral detail <3

The knobs, I don't HATE them so they will probably stay on it unless I find a great deal at Hobby Lobby at their knobs and fixtures sale.

And here we go. After the first two coats of paint...

All of the little dents and dings would look so great with a little glazing to pull them out. I was getting very excited at this point! :)

After the paint had cured I sanded it down with the hand sander and applied my black glaze and finished her off with some poly:

All that's left is putting in some more shelves.
