A New Look for the Kitchen

Where to start... I have been on a decorating and painting kick for about the last 2 months- and although I've accomplished a lot, I still see SO SO many more projects that need done and some that seem like dreams that I'll never get to. So here is my very first post!

I'm pretty sure everyone would agree that the kitchen is the center of the home so I am going to show you my kitchen BEFORE and AFTER. I got a lot of my ideas and inspiration from Sassy Style she inspired me to just DO IT and stop with all of the excuses! I was a little worried about painting over my laminate wood cabinets but she cleared my mind when i saw her AFTER pictures.
Ready for the BEFORE? Here we go!

This is my little helper! :)

This is the before, I do not miss those ugly honey colored cabinets one bit!

And after adding the bead-board wallpaper...

I spray painted the bar stools with Rust-Oleum's Colonial Red, I'm in LOVE with this color!

  1. Looks great! I love how the red stools pop against the white.

  2. Beautiful!!! Love the brightness of it all :)

  3. Came over from the PoPP at Domestically-Speaking. Your kitchen is wonderful now. The bead board wallpaper is a great idea. I have a little helper that is very much like yours. I am excited to follow you now. Hope you can stop by my blog sometime! :)

  4. Very sunny and the red stools are perfect against the white! Nicely done!

  5. your helper is very cute and i guess it was his insperation that helped you finish your kitchen so beautifully, i love the red bar stools and the cabinets, they are simply too good and the kitchen is looking fabulous

  6. Really wonderful transformation! I love the red. It's so bright and cheerful. And your little helper makes it even more beautiful. Lisa~

  7. What a transformation...I'm here from DS and I'm now going to be a follower. Your kitchen is laid out just like mine only it seems you have alot more room between your frig and the very end of your bar! Love those red bar stools!
    Stop by soon!
